SSAW Pipes
SSAW steel pipe (spiral submerged arc welded steel pipe) is formed by spiral bending of hot-rolled strip steel, and spiral seam steel pipe (also called spiral welded pipe, spiral pipe spiral steel pipe) is formed by automatic welding of submerged arc for inner and outer joints. welding line shape like a helix. SSAW Pipes use the same welding technology of Submerged Arc-Welding with LSAW pipe. Differently, SSAW pipes are spiral welded whereas the LSAW pipes are longitudinally welded. The manufacturing process is rolling the steel strip, to make the rolling direction have an angle with the direction of the pipe center, forming and welding, so the welding seam is in a spiral line.
Chemical Analysis and Mechanical Properties of SSAW Steel Pipe
The raw material of the SSAW steel pipe includes steel coil, welding wire, flux. All of raw materials must be through strict physical and chemical maintenance before the investment. | ||||||||

SSAW Pipes FAQs
Q
What’s The Difference Between SSAW and LSAW?
A.
SSAW pipe takes form by rolling and welding a steel strip in a way that the pivotal direction is oblique to the axis or pipe center, making the weld seam in a spiral line. LSAW pipes are produced by molding steel sheets to a cylinder and joining the ends together by welding in a straight line.
